"The Man in the High Castle" is not a film but rather a television series based on the 1962 alternative history novel of the same name by Philip K. Dick. The TV series was developed by Frank Spotnitz and premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2015. It ran for four seasons, concluding in 2019.
Set in a dystopian version of the 1960s, "The Man in the High Castle" explores an alternate timeline in which the Axis Powers (Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan) emerged victorious in World War II, dividing the United States into two spheres of influence. Other significant characters include Obergruppenführer John Smith (Rufus Sewell), a high-ranking Nazi officer with a complex and evolving role in the Reich, and Trade Minister Tagomi (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa), a Japanese official struggling to maintain peace and stability in the Pacific States.
